Charles Richter is a retired lawyer who practiced in New York City, specializing in commercial litigation. He started his career with a large New York law firm and later co-founded his own firm. Before starting his firm, he was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York. He received his law degree from the University of Michigan where he also received a Masters Degree in Philosophy. He taught philosophy for one year at the University of Illinois and then returned to New York City, where he was raised, to practice law. Mr. Richter has been a member of both corporate and nonprofit Boards of Directors. For many years he was the president of One Stop Senior Services, a nonprofit organization that helps seniors in New York City.
